From Survival Mode to Leading With Purpose
My Story
My journey into coaching began with my own struggle with the transition to becoming a consultant. On paper, I had met the requirements for a CCT in General Paediatrics with a specialist interest in paediatric allergy. However, I struggled with interview performance and sought support through coaching.
What I realised was that despite being a high performer, I was carrying low confidence, low self-esteem, and living in survival mode. Carrying this heavy suitcase around resulted in exhaustion.
With the right support, I was able to re-write the narratives that were underlying this and create grounded self-confidence. The old thinking and beliefs were no longer running the show.
I had more energy, creativity, and more of me to bring to work and family life. Decision making became clearer and I was able to be much more present with the patients and families I was serving. My close relationships transformed too.
